He was born and raised in the Woolard Town Community of New Market and he was retired from Rust Engineers. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley Noe Woolard; daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) Roberts of Strawberry Plains; son, William E. (Bill) Woolard of Dandridge; and daughter,Melissa Michelle Woolard of New Market; six grandchildren, Stephanie Soppet, Amanda Cummings, Stacie Woolard, Britney Brooks, Amber and Brandon Wade; six great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Riddle of New Market; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge with Rev. Raymond Henderson and Rev. Ronnie White officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside interment service will be Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in McCampbell's Chapel Cemetery. The family will gather at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
