SPRADLIN , CHARLES C. - age 78 of Maryville, went to be with the Lord at 6:45 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2000. He had been at Maryville Health Care Center for the last 2 years. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church of Maryville. He retired from ALCOA with 31 years of service and was a member of their 25 Year Club. He was born ion July 5, 1922. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Tammy Spradlin Smiley; mother, Viola Jenkins; dad, Will Spradlin ; brother, Eugene Spradlin . Survivors include, wife of 56 years, Leola Lowe Spradlin ; daughter, Pat Spradlin Williams of Knoxville; son, Larry Charles Spradlin and wife, Judy of Alcoa; 4 grandsons, Jeff Williams of Knoxville, Scott Williams, Stacy and Brad Spradlin all of Maryville; 2 great grandchildren, Brandan Scott Williams and Brittany Nicole Williams of Maryville; sisters, Elizabeth Spradlin and Mary L. Massey both of Knoxville; brother, J.B. Spradlin and wife, Edith of Michigan; special loved ones, Glen, Renee, Rachel, Becky; sisters in law; brothers in law; nieces; and nephews. Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2000 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Glenn Grubb officiating. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Sunday September 17, 2000 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Volunteer State Honor Guard.
