February 15, 1938 - September 24, 2010
Maxwell, Carol Grubb-age 72, of the Mt. Olive community in South Knoxville, went to be with Jesus on Friday, September 24, 2010. Carol was a 1956 graduate of Young High School. She was a lifetime member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Carol's caregivers; Billie Childress, Kim Childress, Janice Berry and Kathy Sullivan. Preceded in death by father, Charles Ross Grubb and brother, Jerry Lynn Grubb. Survived by husband of 51 years, Paul W. Maxwell, daughters and sons-in-law, Renee and Jeff Thomas, Melanie and Mark Rose; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Dana and Kara Maxwell; mother, Singleton M. Grubb, great nephews, Hunter and Hayden Grubb and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Monday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with a celebration of life service to follow at 7:00 PM. Rev. Dana Maxwell and Dr. Deron Cobb officiating. Memorials may be made to the Acts 1:8 Mission Team at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2500 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN. 37920. Honorary pallbearers will be Sherry McMillan, Mary Ellen Acuff, Sylvia Clark, Doris Wesley and Clara Robbins. Family and friends will meet Tuesday at Mt. Olive Cemetery for a 12 Noon interment service with Rev. Bob Ward officiating. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com.
