Edna Holt, age 93 of Newport went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 25, 2007 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ethel Knowles Green, husband, Drew Holt, son Joe Holt, infant daughter, Nancy Carol Holt, brothers Issac, Walter, Peanut, and George M. Green, sisters, Ethel Reagan, and Mae Holt.
She is survived by her son C. A. Holt and his wife Midge of Newport, daughters, Joyce Holt, and Anna Ruth Holt Dean, brothers Johnny Green and his wife Mary all of Newport, sisters Catherine Gentry of Dandridge and Dorothy Barnes of Newport. 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 8 great- great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 8 pm Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Earl Campbell officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday, February 27, 2007 prior to the service. Interment will be 11 am Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Union Cemetery.
