Jerry L. Hankins, age 66 of Corryton, TN passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 11, 2014. He was born on February 23, 1948 to the late Paul and Avanell Tabler Hankins. He was a longtime member of Graveston Baptist Church and graduated from Fulton High School in 1966. He had a true gift for art and went on to study at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Fla. He is survived by loving wife Mary Oaks Hankins as well as daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Rusty Beal. Pallbearers will be Jason Brock, Shane Carpenter, Rick Hutton, Jeff Tabler, Mike Thompson and Jimmy Villarreal. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rusty Beal, Frank Brock, Johnny Brock, Wayne Easterday, Jeff Galler, Charles Oaks, Doug Oaks, and Dennis Tabler. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Tennessee or the Crohns and Colitis Foundation. Family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm with Chapel Service at 8pm Thursday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City, Pastor Scott Thomas officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45AM Friday at Graveston Cemetery for 11AM interment service.
