WILKINS, LLOYD PRICE of Knoxville passed away Friday, March 06, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in Mt. Hope, West Virginia on April 12, 1925. Member of Smithwood Baptist Church for 45 years. He was a World Warveteran serving in the Navy in the South Pacific. After graduating from V.P.I. and Michigan State University he came to Tennessee and worked for the Tennessee Wildlife Agency for 39 years as a coldwater fisheries biologist. After retiring from TWRA, he became the fisheries consultant for Fairfield Glade in Crossville, TN; serving another 15 years. Preceded in death by his parents, James Lloyd and Lucy Rice Wilkins; brother-in-law, C. Fred Hankins . Survivors, wife of 54 years, Letha Dalton Wilkins; twins, Janice Lynne and Jeffrey Glen Wilkins; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Wilkins; grandsons, Jared and Lucas Wilkins; sister, Mary Sue Wilkins of Mt. Hope, West Virginia; brother, Lynn Wilkins and wife Patricia of Crossville, TN; sister-in-law, Retha Dalton Hankins ; special friends and fishing buddies, Kenneth and Deloras Wilson. Service 4 pm, Sunday at Smithwood Baptist Church with Dr. David Crutchley officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am, Monday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment services at 11 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Smithwood Baptist Church. Visitation will be 2-4 pm Sunday at Smithwood Baptist Church. www.mynattfh.com
