Arlesa P. McCracken, age 78, of Newport, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2002 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde McCracken; son, James Samuel McCracken; and parents, Paul and Rebecca Price.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Bob and Heike McCracken, of Newport, and Paul and Louise McCracken, of Dandridge; son, Carroll McCracken, of El Paso, TX; daughters and sons-in-law: Maggie and Darrell Mitchell, of Morristown; Teresa and Doug Messer and Darlene and Terry Ailor, of Newport; and daughter, Pearl Patterson, of Georgia; brother, Jethro Price, of Newport; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Decie Self, of Hartford, and Wade and Hattie Price, of Newport; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and special friend, David Lancaster.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2002 at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Douglas Jacobs and Rev. Terry Ailor officiating.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday at Manes Funeral Home.
