James B. Proffitt (Bubba), age 41, of Newport, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the Still Burn Center in Augusta, GA.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Hattie and Wade Price of Newport and father, Henry Proffitt of Sevierville.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Larry Brady of Newport; sister, Barbara Witt of Tazewell, brother Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Proffitt of Sevierville, Mr. and Mrs. David Price, Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Price, and Ricky Price of Newport; nephews Mr. and Mrs. James Brady, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Clay Brady, Aiden Gage Brady, David and Dakota Price of Newport; special friends, Rita McMahan of Newport, and Mr. and Mrs. RL Shelton, of Del Rio, loving friend Shelia Proffitt of Del Rio. And he will be greatly missed by many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Burke officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Stokely Family Cemetery, in Del Rio, for the committal service.
