SEXTON, WILLIAM REED - age 84 of Central Point, Grainger County passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville. A veteran of WWII, Bill spent over twenty three years serving his country as a member of both the Army and Air Force. Remembered as a kind and generous man, he will be dearly missed by family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Jesse Sexton sisters Ruby Dalton, Gladys Roach, Bess Moreland, Beulah Sexton, Bernice Reynolds and Edith Kitts son in law Nestor Cruz granddaughter Connie Givens, parents Maude Morgan and Solomon Sexton. Survivors include daughters and sons in law Janice and Terry Givens, Alma and Kerry Allender, Vilma and Jay Stinebrink, Anna and John Vasquez, Celina and John Simon, Hayda and Todd Witt daughter Rosa Marquina son and daughter in law David Solomon and Merry Sexton grandchildren Todd, Jennifer, Chris, Mike, Theresa, Susie, Isela, Sofia, J.C. Maria, Theresa, Laura, Celilna and William sister Wilba McDaniel and her children Jack, Jim, Gilford and Phyllis sister Eula Morgan and her children Mike and Amanda second wife Theresa Sexton also a host of nieces and nephews. A military funeral will be performed graveside 10:00 am, Friday, September 23, 2005 in Roseberry Baptist Church Cemetery in Mascot. The family will receive friends, 6-8 pm Thursday at Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge. Arrangements by Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge, TN.
