He is survived by son, Shawn Allen, and family (wife, Rachel, and sons, Jake and Cooper) and daughter, Alexandra Allen, all of Chattanooga; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Connie Allen of Alcoa and Terry and Theresa Allen of Maryville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Ryan and Sharon and Lester Word, all of Alcoa, Debbie and Jay Gregory and Sheila and Ronnie Hall, all of Maryville; nieces, Janet Frazier, Amy Carroll, Brandie Allen and Tiffany Tallent; nephews, Robert and Christopher Word, Travis Ryan and Brandon Allen; and special cousins, Jim and Billy Carroll. He was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Trula Hall. A graduate of Maryville High School, he served in Vietnam, was combat wounded and awarded the Purple Heart. He received an associate degree from Walters State Community College, bachelor’s degree from UT Chattanooga, was past president of Chapter 203 Vietnam Veterans, Chattanooga, and member of Military Order of the Purple Heart. He was a former member of the Blount County Sheriff’s Office and Alcoa Police Department. He retired from TVA Sequoyah and resided in Friendsville. His life will be celebrated at a later date.
