Birdie Ruth Allen, age 75, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, James H. and Mary Ann McMahan. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Rock and Earlene Hembree of Maryville and Shawn and Rachel Allen of Chattanooga; grandsons, Rocky Hembree, Jacob Allen, and Cooper Allen; great-granddaughter, Alynah Grace Hembree; sister, Dorothy Webber; brothers, Carl and wife, Lucille McMahan and Tom and Donna McMahan; nieces, Terri Webber, Kellie McMahan, Stephanie Wilder, and Melanie Millsaps; and nephew, Ronnie Cagle. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home, Cedar Chapel, with Rev. Charles Roy Murrell officiating. The interment service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
