OTT , HOMER E. - born January 29, 1930, went home on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 after a long illness. He was a member of Tarklin Valley Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army. Husband, Dad, Pappaw and a friend to everyone who crossed his path. "As the arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of ones youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. Psalms 127:4-5" Although we mourn, Heaven celebrates the homecoming. "See you later, Pappaw." Preceded in death by parents, Johnny and Goldie Ott sister, Alma Ott brothers, David Ott , Junior Ott , Curtis Ott and Baby Boy grandson, Joshua Ott . Those he leaves behind are his wife of 55 years, Loula Ott brother, Joe Ott children, Stephen Ott , Douglas and Nolene Ott , Sharon and Mike Lane grandchildren, Matthew and Chandra Ott , Jonathan and Jessica Ott , Casey Bumgardner, Dominic Carlton, Erin and Johnny Booher, Stephen Kebo Lane, Emily Lane, Tera Lane great-grandchildren, Madison, Jonah, Daih, Braden, Jalen and Bella. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with service to follow at 8 PM, Rev. Claude Ramsey officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 AM on Saturday at Berry Funeral Home and will proceed in procession at 9:30 AM to Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 10 AM interment service. Pallbearers will be: Matthew Ott , Jonathan Ott , Johnny Booher, Dominic Carlton Johnny Sise and Mike Reagan. Military honors will be presented by Veterans United Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the youth ministry at Tarklin Valley Baptist Church, 8827 Jett Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920.
