NPT presents Miss December

Rachel Ogle, a Cosby High School graduate in 2010, is the Newport Plain Talk's December
Calendar Girl. Rachel is the daughter of Johnny and Louise Ogle and Janie and Gary Cody.
Rachel reminds us that in addition to Christmas, December is the month in which we
celebrate the invention of basketball, the founding of the Civil Air Patrol, and the
anniversary of Rosa Parks' arrest in Montgomery, AL in 1955 for refusing to give up her
seat and move to the back of a municipal bus. Rachel is sponsored by Freeman's Grocery
and Webb Creek Utility District.
