He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, retired from ALCOA, and a member of the Twenty Five Year Club. He was better known as "The Growler". He was preceded in death by: his parents, Hubert "Doc" and Helen Parr Braden and grandson, Michael James Allison. He is survived by: his wife of forty nine years, Myrtle Lovingood Braden son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Diannia Braden of Maryville daughters, Carol Braden Noce of Maryville and Lisa Braden Burchfield of Walland grandchildren, Kathy Braden and Gregory Scott Allison both of Maryville sisters and brothers in law, Mary and Tommy Abbott of Maryville, Jackie Kitts of Maryville, and Linda Albert of Greenback several nieces and nephews several friends and neighbors that meant so much to him and special life-long friend, Don Justus of Illinois. Funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, May 8, 2004 at Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. George Macht and Rev. Keith Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
