DUNLAP, DEADRICK - age 85, of Knox County, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 10, 2003, at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. He was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church. He was a decorated World War II Veteran, having served in the 4th Infantry Division of the United States Army. He was retired from Hines Ophthalmic Laboratory. Preceded in death by first wife, Wanda Lee Kyker Dunlap sisters and brothers, Margaret , Bessie Ann, Ruth, Mattie, Vernon and Carroll. Survived by wife, Mary Lou Tucker Dunlap daughter, Janis Haynes and husband, George son, Wayne Dunlap and wife, Cheryl son, Samuel Dunlap and wife, Lisa son, Dale Dunlap and wife, Susan step daughters, Sondra Nanney and husband, Rex and Nancy Sellers and husband, Gary step sons, Jack Tucker and wife, Vivian, Jerry Tucker and wife, Sandy and Tommy Tucker and wife, Debbie grandchildren, Kelly Laraway and husband, Mike, Noah Dunlap, Jeremy Dunlap, Tara Mallory and husband, Frank, Erica Dunlap, Eliot Dunlap, Benjamin Dunlap, and Jennie Dunlap numerous step grandchildren great grandchildren, Allison and Brooke Mallory sisters, Sue Pratt and Lula Haun brothers, Boyd and Jim Dunlap, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to St. Mary's Residential Hospice for their care. Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2003, at Woodlawn Christian Church with Dr. David Eubanks officiating. Eulogy by Dr. Kelly Laraway. Interment will follow at Thorn Grove Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted by Chaplain Bob Mize and Volunteer State Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
