CAMERON , NANCY NORA MAPLES age 103, our precious and much loved Aunt Nancy of Knoxville, went home to be with our heavenly Father on her favorite day of the week, Sunday, February 28, 2010. Nancy , who was the daughter of the late James P. and Jeanie Lindsey Maples , was born on November 11, 1906 in Knoxville. She was a lifelong member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church where she devoted her time in the beginners department, the church library, the Adult Choir, the Golden Notes Choir and preparing many meals for church dinners. She will be remembered for her sweet spirit and love of life. Aunt Nancy cherished her friends and her family, devoted her life to them and to our Lord. She is reunited in heaven with her husband, Albert J. Cameron , and many brothers and sisters. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a sister, Willie Mae (Bill) Derieux of Knoxville; niece and husband with whom she made her home for the past five years, Patsy and Rex Ownby; great nephew and wife, Joe and Patricia Ownby and their children, Samantha and Rex; great niece and husband, Kathy and Gus Paidousis and their children, Kayla and Cameron Paidousis; many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend John Holland officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. interment service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lincoln Park Baptist Church, 830 Chicamauga Ave., Knoxville, TN 37917. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. Online condolences may be extended at www.rosemortuary.com.
