John A. McCall age 79 and Geraldine “Jerry” McCall age 79 both of Knoxville passed away suddenly Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in Sevier County. They both were longtime members of Mooreland Heights Baptist Church in Knoxville. They loved farming and shared their bountiful garden with family and friends. John was retired from Y-12 with 40 years of service and was preceded in death by his father, George “Da” McCall; mother, Kate Armstrong McCall; brothers, Joe Willard McCall, Nash McCall, and Creed “Bo” McCall. He was a special dad to Susan, Diana, Tim, Patti, Scott, Shannon, Eugene, Gaylord, Glenna, and Barbara.
Geraldine was retired from the Knox County School System with 26 years of service and was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Grace Huskey Webb; siblings, Ray Webb, Roy Webb, Claude Webb, Lucille Nichols, and Earl Webb.
Survivors include his daughter, Debra McCall; sister, Odell Tulloch.
Survivors include her children, son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Robinson; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Andrew Bang; son, Steve Robinson; sister, Dorothy Evans; brother, Harry Webb; their grandchildren are, Melissa, Cassie, Kristi, Daniel, Stephanie, and Cody; great-grandchildren, Emma Jane, Logan, Lane, Eli, Luke, Colby, Haleigh, Claire, Jacob, and Heath;
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Lethco and Rev. Josh Landrum officiating. The interment will follow in Liberty Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Wreck claims two on Chapman Highway
The first responders to the scene check for signs of life after an afternoon wreck on Chapman Highway southbound, about 100 yards from the Sevierville city limits. The 1999 Oldsmobile Delta 88 left the road in a straight away and went into the ditch hitting a culvert and flipping. The elderly couple inside died instantly. The vehicle had Knox County tags and the victims were wearing seat belts. Tennessee Highway Patrol, Sevier County Sheriff’s Department. rescue squad, Sevier County VFD., and ambulance service responded. As of press time Tuesday, officials had not released names of the victims. (Curt Habraken)

Victims from Tuesday fatality identified
SEVIERVILLE — The two people killed Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash on Chapman Highway just outside the city limits have been identified.
John A. McCall, 78, of Knoxville, was traveling southbound on U.S. 441 when he went off the right side of the road and struck an embankment about 2:40 p.m., officials reported. The vehicle went airborne, flipped and landed on its top.
His wife, Geraldine McCall, 79, a passenger in the vehicle, was also killed in the accident.
Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
