LONG , ROBERT M. - age 52, began singing with the Saints in Glory on Thursday, April 29, 1999. He is a member of Faith Promise Church in Oak Ridge, IBEW Local 760 of Knoxville, and is president/co-owner with Jeff Lingerfelt of Facility Management Engineering Services and a former employee of Johnson Controls World Services of Oak Ridge. He is preceded in death by son, Aaron Robert Long ; father, Elmer Long ; and special friend, Dennis Manley. Robert is the beloved husband of Vickie Allison Long ; the devoted daddy of son, Daron J. Long and Tarah E. Long Jeffries; and pappy of granddaughter, Allison Lynn "Alli" Jeffries, all of Knoxville; other relatives are mother, Litha Whaley Long ; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Bill Hancock, Polly and Arnold Garner, all of Strawberry Plains and Margaret and Boyd Johnson of Lenoir City; father and mother-in-law, E.O. "Whitey" and Juanita Hunt Allison; brother-in-law and wife, Brad and Janise Allison of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews; second dad and mom, Winston and Virginia Burnett. Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home to proceed to Solway Church of God Cemetery for a 2 p.m. graveside service, Brothers Chris Stephens and Calvin Hammontree officiating. Memorials may be made to the Faith Promise Church Bldg. Fund at 333 Main St., Suite 218, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Arrangements by McCarty Weaver Cumberland Chapel.
