(August 31, 1955 - July 16, 2017) Brenda Gail Payne, age 60, of Del Rio, passed away Sunday July 16, 2017. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Roosevelt Stokely and Nellie Edith Stokely; husband, James Walker; and brother, Gary Dale Stokely. She is survived by her husband, Richard Payne of Del Rio; son, Scott (Edie) Walker of Del Rio; daughter, Monica Walker of Bybee; brothers, Michael (Norma) Stokely of Parrottsville, Ricky Stokely of Newport; sisters, Joan (Ricky) Ford and Joy (Mike) Burchfield all of Del Rio; five grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family and very special friends. The family would like to say a Special Thank You to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice. Funeral service will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday July 18, 2017 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Murr and Rev. Steve Blanchard officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday prior to the funeral service.
