After 90 healthy years, Kenneth (Ken) Harrison Teffeteller of Maryville suddenly went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 28, 2014. While we rejoice that he is enjoying heaven, he will be deeply missed by his loving wife of almost 65 years, Jean, son Kenne and wife Elmeria, daughter Kathy Puckett and husband Joel, and his treasured granddaughter, Kendra Forsythe and husband Matt, brothers Randall (Edna) and Glenn, brother-in-law J.T. (Shirley) Tipton, sister-in-law Juanita Myers, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his daughter Anita, parents Lemuel and Rachel Teffeteller, brothers Leslie and Lowell. Ken was a faithful, lifetime member of Peck's Memorial UMC and served in many ways – SS teacher, treasurer, sound technician. He retired from ALCOA planning department at age 59. He served as a medic in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Third Amphibious Corps of the Fleet Marine Forces. Ken enjoyed playing his guitar that he taught himself to play, had keen computer skills, and wrote and self published his autobiography that the family will treasure forever. Ken was also an avid NASCAR and UT sports fan. Family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Friday, May 30 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral services are at 7 p.m. Friday.
