Carolyn Louise Davis, age 82, of Newport passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Newport Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband James Russell Davis, son Russell Morrison Davis, mother Sarah Ellen Garner, sister Faye Helm, and son-in-law Andy Green. Survivors include her daughters Connie Ann Russell, Mary Lou Dennis, Tammy Sue Miller (Jason Lee), Teresa L. Davis, Ellen Carol Green, honorary daughters Roxanne Reed, Glenda Cox, Loretta Arrington, son James Walter Davis, son-in-law Michael Bruce Ramsey, 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, brother Charles Garner, along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Cureton officiating. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at France Cemetery with Pastor Joe Cureton officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
