Trudy Suzanne Carpenter, age 57, of Maryville, passed away Monday, September 27, 2010. She was employed with East Tennessee Development District for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Andy Stafford, and brother, Ray Stafford. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Leslie Garrett; mother, Jean Stafford; grandchildren, Brock and Haleigh Garrett; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Graveside service and interment will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 1, 2010, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Rev. Tony Collins officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Trudy’s name to Cornerstone of Recovery, 1214 Topside Rd., Louisville, TN 37777. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Maryville, (865) 982-6041, www.millerfuneralhome.org.
