Born in Gatlinburg, Tenn., he lived in St. Petersburg for 20 years and also lived in Fort Myers and Inverness before moving to Bristol in 1990. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jean; a daughter, Cynthia Clabo Rhymer, Longmont, Colo.; a son, Steve, Bristol; five sisters, Marjorie Gaylon, Maryville, Tenn., June Watson, Gatlinburg, Edna Wood and Louise, both of Virginia, and Betty Jo Warwick, Florida; three brothers, Frank, Gatlinburg, and Armalee and Howard, both of Virginia; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
