MCBEE, ELIZABETH ( BETTY ) TUCKER age 71 of Corryton passed away at 6:30 am Saturday, May 17, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member and served as secretary of Washington Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Masters degree and retired from the Union County School System. Survivors: husband of 48 years, Charles McBee of Corryton; son, James (Jim) McBee of Honolulu, HI; daughters and sons-in-law Nancy and Owen Nevader of Knoxville, Becky and David Hutchinson of Corryton; grandchildren, Gabrielle Bratcher of Knoxville, Ayden and Sydney Hutchinson of Corryton; sister, Pat Shipley of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Betty M. Sloan of Corryton; 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at McBee Family Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment with Pastor Rick McIntee and Pastor Liz Peterson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Washington Presbyterian Church, 7405 Washington Pike, Corryton, TN 37721 or Sisters in Love Fund care of Thompson Cancer Survival Center- Office of Philanthropy, 1915 White Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at N. Broadway. Mrs McBee 's guest book is available at www.stevensmortuaryinc.com.
