PRATT , SHERMAN W. age 92 of Knoxville passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at his home. Member and Deacon of East Sunnyview Baptist Church and also attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church. US Navy veteran of WWII who served his country in the Atlantic and the Pacific. Retired from R. E. Express Co. He fought the good fight, kept the faith, and finished the course. He is now in glory with our Savior. Saved at a young age at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and grew up in the community. Preceded in death by parents, John and Cynthia Pratt ; several brothers and sisters; and daughters-in-law, Sandra Pratt and Betty Pratt . Survived by wife of 72 years, Geneva Pratt ; sons, Harold and Billy Pratt ; son and daughter-in-law, David and Jackie Pratt ; grandchildren, Brian Pratt , Mitzi Booher, Dr. Mark Pratt , Rebecca Slagle, Jacob Pratt , Zachary Pratt ; great-grandchildren, Tripp Booher, Baylor Booher, Caden Booher, Reece and Carson Whitlock, Harper E. Pratt , Morgan Hanson, Alex Pratt , Chance Slagle, and Edward Pratt ; sister, Leda Ruth Wade. Special thanks to Carol Harris for her kindness. Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Friday, December 7, 2007 in the chapel at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Lee and Rev. Don Watkins officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 am Saturday at Bridges Funeral Home and proceed to Caledonia Cemetery for an 11:00 am interment. Pallbearers: Brian Pratt , Mitzi Booher, Mark Pratt , Rebecca Slagle, Jacob Pratt , and Zachary Pratt . Honorary pallbearers: Tommy Sherrod Sr., Pete Houser, B.J. McCubbins.
