WHITE, HELEN - age 83, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2001, at Holston Health Care. She previously attended Sandbranch United Methodist Church. She was founder, singer, and pianist for the Williams Family Quartet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. White; son, Charles Gordon White; parents, Henry Clay and Anna Mae Pratt Williams ; brother, Jack Williams , and sister, Alma Bishop Cochrum. She is survived by granddaughters, Wyndi White and Kelly Bullard; step granddaughter, Sheri Hill; step grandson, Bryan Scott; great-grandchildren, Israel Farless, Marissa Farless, Amy Beth Bullard, and Bradley Bullard; step great-grandchild, Katie Hill; brothers, Glen (Bud) Williams and Ted Williams ; sisters, Geneva Pratt and Mary Martin, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2001, at 8 p.m. at the Chapel of McCarty Mortuary, with the Reverends Jack Oglesby and Archie Elliott officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Entombment will be on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. McCarty Mortuary, 4004 Holston Dr., Knoxville, Tenn., is in charge of arrangements.
