Agnes Grey Cannon Tinnel of Tellico Plains, passed away Saturday, May 31, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Madisonville Church of Christ.
She was 74.
Preceded in death by: first husband, Tyrus Cannon; parents, David and Della Anne Grey; two sisters; six brothers; one grandson; one great-grandson.
Survivors include: husband-James Tinnel;
Daughters and sons-in-law-Nina and Dickie Miller and Belva and John Vogelsang;
Sons and daughters-in-law-Roger and Kathy Cannon, Ed and Barbara Cannon, Mike Cannon, Vaughn and Paula Cannon;
Eleven grandchildren;
Eight great-grandchildren;
Sister-Dorothy Carver;
Brother-John Grey.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and especially by her children and grandchildren who greatly appreciate all she sacrificed when we were growing up.
The body is at Sweetwater Memory Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, with funeral services to follow. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m., Thursday, at Paint Rock Baptist Church Cemetery for a 10 a.m. graveside and interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agnes Cannon Memorial Fund, FSG Bank, Attn: Kim, P.O. Box 960, Sweetwater, TN 37874. Sweetwater Memory Chapel in charge of arrangements.
