Lucille “Lucy” Lambdin Taylor, age 92, of Alcoa, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Lucille was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Alcoa and was very proud of her education she received from Thomas Walker High school and Lincoln Memorial University. She retired as a school teacher from Porter High School and was a member of the Tennessee Education Association and the National Education Association. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Prudentia Lodge # 270 of Alcoa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Foraker & Minnie Belle Lambdin; 1st husband, Warren J. Frank; 2nd husband, Robert W. Taylor; and brothers, Midas, Gaylord, and Glenn Lambdin; and son-in-law, Jack W. Raby; Survived by her daughter, Judy Raby; Grandson, Jamie Raby and wife, Cheryl; Great Grandchildren, Emily “Skeeter” Raby and Scottie Gregory; Brother, Foraker “Buck” Lambdin Jr.; Sister, Rowena Hamilton; Several nieces and nephews, and very special friend, Janice Russell; A Celebration of Lucille’s Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 06, 2015 at Monte Vista Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Mantooth and Rev. Bob Dalton officiating. The Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
