He is preceded in death by his Parents: Houston and Dorothy Shields; and Brother: Eddie Shields. Survivors Daughters: Cindy and Michael Lynn of Louisville, Judy and Chris Denton of Friendsville, and Patty and Chris Watkins of Alcoa; Son: Hugh and Alison Shields of Sumter, S.C.; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
