They request no gifts. The couple were married Sept. 3, 1960, in Maryville. The Rev. Oley McKeehan officiated. Their family includes daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bob Wilson, of Maryville. They have two grandchildren, Amanda and Michael. Mr. Tipton is retired from Colvin and Son Heating and Air. Mrs. Tipton is retired from Proffitt's. They are members of Piney Level Baptist Church.
