Robert “Bobby” Northern, age 69, of Newport passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at his home. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Alfred Northern and Nell Northern as well as 5 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wanda Northern; son Bobby Northern; brothers, Charles Northern (Imogene) and Tom Northern (Edna), as well as several nieces, nephews, and other family members. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Wells officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Union Cemetery [S147] Find a Grave, (Memorial: 99088365).
