Preceded in death by: parents, Ike & Nellie Downey brother, Lester Downey sisters, Mary Parr, Ida Roberts. Survivors include: wife, Barbara Downey sons, Michael J. Downey of Alcoa and Jeffrey F. Downey of Maryville sister, Lelia Hammond of Maryville, several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Saturday, April 26, 2003 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Dr. Allen Raines officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 27, 2003 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
