WALTERS , GLADYS - age 53, of Walland, died at 7:52 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2000, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lucille Tipton. Survivors: husband, Sharon Walters ; daughter, Joy Walters of Walland; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Joyce Tipton of Decatur; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois and Jim Walters of Powell and Mary and James Hodge of Maryville. Funeral service 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2000, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Rev. Jim McCulla and Rev. Jay Wesbrooks officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2000, at Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
