TURNER, NELLIE RUTH NORRIS - age 86 of Knoxville passed away Sunday August 15, 2010 at Brakebill Nursing Home. She was a member of Roseberry Baptist Church and was retired from Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Preceded in death by husband Vernon Turner and grandson Lucas B. Turner. Survived by daughters & sons-in-law: Agnes and Walt Strevel, Jane and Ed McHenry all of Knoxville; sons & daughters-in-law: Gil and Millie Turner of Park City, Utah, Larry and Linda Turner of Huntsville, Alabama; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother: Billy Norris and wife Carolyn; sister: Mildred Troutt and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express thanks to the staff of Brakebill Nursing for their love and care they gave to Mom Turner. Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Norris, Rev. Bob Schultz and Rev. Kent Williams officiating. Family and friends will meet at Roseberry Cemetery 9:45 a.m. Wednesday for interment at 10:00 a.m. The family received friends 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
