BENNETT, HARRY C. - age 65, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2000 at NHC in Knoxville. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Ellijay, Ga. Preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Gladys Bennett; wife, DeAlva and brother, William F. Bennett. Survivors include, sister and brother in law, Loral and William Vanderwesten; brother and sister in law, Grady L. and Bettye Bennett; sister in law, Margaret Bennett; nephews, Steve, Mark and Jim Bennett; niece, Pam Baxter. A specialthanks to the family and friends at Ft. Sanders NHC Highland. Visitation for Mr. Bennett will be held Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000 from 6-8 p.m. at McCarty Mortuary. The family will meet Thursday morning at 9:45 a.m. at Asbury Cemetery for a 10 a.m. graveside service with Rev. Lee Chorn officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lions Club Organization. Arrangements made by McCarty Mortuary, 4004 Holston Dr. Knoxville, Tenn. 37914.
