VANDERWESTEN, WILLIAM - age 72 of Knoxville passed away Friday, January 16, 2004 at his home. He had worked at Tennessee Tackle and Dealers Warehouse Corporation. He was preceded in death by: his parents, William and Wilhelmina Vanderwesten, who were immigrants from Holland. He is survived by his loving family wife, Loral Kelly Vanderwesten son and daughter in law, William A. and Matoka Vanderwesten of North Carolina daughters, Melodee Martins of NC and Renee Hartelius of Virginia grandchildren, Matthew and Joshua Hartelius, Caleb, Brian, Cariann and Andrea Vanderwesten sister in law Margaret Bennett and brother and sister in law, Grady and Bettye Bennett. The family wishes to extend thanks and appreciation to St. Mary’s Home Care, St. Mary’s Hospice also, to the Rural Metro First Responders and to our friend and neighbor, Craig Leatherwood for all his help. Mr. Vanderwesten is at Highland South where the family will receive friends Monday, January 19, 2004 from 1-2 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in Highland South Chapel with Rev. Lee Chorn officiating. Entombment will follow the service at the mausoleum. Arrangements by Highland South Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations 573-7300.
