Born: December 8, 1922
Arnett, Frances Elizabeth "Lib", age 87, of South Knoxville, passed away Friday, August 13, 2010 at NHC Holston Health Care. She was the school secretary at Gap Creek Elementary School for 17 years. Lib was a lifetime member of Meridian Baptist Church where she served in the WMU, library and nursery and was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class. She was known for her quilting, sewing and ceramics. Lib was preceded in death by her loving husband, James E. Arnett, Jr.; parents, William and Verla Ford; son-in-law, David Witenbarger, Sr.; brothers, Fred, Bub and Don Ford; sister, Annette Atchley. Survivors include, daughter and son-in-law, Suzie and Scott Frei; sons and daughter-in-law, James E. III and Debra Arnett, Allen and Rita Arnett; grandchildren, William Arnett (Sarah), Emily Wong (Allan), Thomas Arnett , Logan Arnett, David Witenbarger (Leah) and Jeffrey Witenbarger (Wendy); 7 great grandchildren; sister, Billie Sue Morgan and husband W.C., sisters-in law, Betty Arnett, Lucille Ford and Virginia Ford and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at Meridian Baptist Church with a funeral service to follow at 8 PM, Rev. Dana Fachman officiating. Family and friends will meet Tuesday at Meridian Cemetery for a 10 AM interment service. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
