Susan Liddell West, age 62, of Taylorsville, died Monday, January 25, 2010 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 4, 1947 in Knox County, Tennessee to the late Ed and Jane Irwin Liddell.
Mrs. West was a former X-ray technician and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Sidney K. West of the home; one son, Sidney K. “Ket” West II and wife Julie of Franklin, Tennessee; one daughter, Ms. Jody West of Winston-Salem; one brother, Brendan Liddell and wife Ruthann of Peoria, Illinois; three sisters, Sister Rose Annette Liddell of Denver, Colorado, Ms. Mary Jane Burnette of Knoxville, Tennessee and Mrs. Ginny Fisher and husband Mendy of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren, Rachel, Laurel, Sydney and Samuel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Steve Parks.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
