He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Mack Buckner; parents, Lola Mae and Ruble Walker; sister, Jane Walker; special aunt, Annie Buckner; and mother and father-in-law, Lizzie and George Hayes. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Hayes Buckner; special nieces and nephews, Mary Hayes Loyd, Tommy Hayes, Denny Hayes, George McAmis, Steve McAmis, Julie McAmis, Shanna Blaton, and Jennifer Pearson and, Alison Hayes Burke; brothers, Taft (Shirley) Walker, Mickey Walker, and Marvin Walker, Alison Hayes Burke; sisters, June Shropshire, Susie (Johnny) Prince, and Florence Walker; special cousins, Billy (Norma) Buckner, Fred (Geneva) Buckner, and Susie Clevenger; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and TJ Dawson, Juanita McAmis, Pauline Hayes, George and Diane Hayes, Mack Hayes, Anna and John Pearson, and Irene Rathbone. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 22, 2013 with George McAmis and Rev. Glen Ball officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in the Hayes Family Cemetery, Bybee, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday prior to funeral services.
