Betty Louise (Hayes) McAmis, age 76 of Bybee went to be with the Lord and her late husband, Will McAmis, on June 29, 2006. She was a member of Rankin Baptist Church.
She leaves behind two daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Chuck Rollins and Linda Lou and Charles Black, both of White Pine; four grandchildren, Jamy and wife Linda Cameron of Greeneville, Angie and husband Jimmy Hance of White Pine, Melinda Sudbrink of Newport, and Mark Ramsey of Newport; three great-grandchildren, Erika, Jaycob, and Aidan Sudbrink of Newport; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Jane Brewster of Bybee, Beulah and Buck Ramsey of Bybee, Sue and T.J. Dawson of Newport, Juanita and Ruble McAmis of Bybee, Pauline Hayes of Bybee, Gladys and Cecil Buckner of Bybee, Anna and John Pearson of Tazewell, Irene Rathbone of Bybee; brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Diane Hayes of Bybee and Mack Hayes of Bybee. She is also survived by special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruth and Dave Thomas, several nieces and nephews, and many special friends in the Bybee community. she was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lizzie Hayes; and brother, Tommy Hayes.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday July 1, 2006 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Lindy officiating, with burial in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6-9 p.m. June 30, 2006 at Manes Funeral Home.
