LAMB, ROBERT (BOB) - age 82, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 after a brief illness. He was born on December 7, 1927 to the union of Reba and John Houston Lamb. In 1955 he met and married LaVada Tipton and soon after started his business of 47 years, Bob Lamb Appliance Service. He spent many years as both teacher and mentor at Knox Adult Vocational Technical School. His honesty and dependability were often a blessing to both those he taught and those with whom he did business. Bob loved square dancing and was a long-time member of Volunteer Travelers Square Dancers. He is preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, LaVada Tipton Lamb; step-daughter, Hiwatha Myers; and brothers, William Lamb, DDS and John Lamb. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Sheila J. Lamb (Knox); sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Bo Bobicchio of Witerhaven, Florida; aunt, Joann Lamb; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Dorothy Jenkins and Harold Large. Special thanks to the Staff of Hillcrest North Nursing Home and Fort Sanders ICU and 3 west. Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Friday at Weaver Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Cemetery at 12:45 pm for a 1:00 pm for a graveside service with Rev. Danny Large officiating.
