U.S. Veteran Allen “A.F.” Floyd Goforth, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 11, 2015. He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served during World War II. He was preceded in death by his father, William Floyd Goforth; mother, Mabel Stiles Hawkins; sisters, Estalea Miller and Nancy Hatcher Craig; brothers, Harold “Red” Hatcher and Joe Goforth; and step-father, Robert H. Hawkins. He is survived by his sons, Clyde Goforth of California and Clark Goforth of Tennessee; sibilings, Phyllis and Bill Morelock, Linley and Carol Hatcher, Louis Hatcher; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Nelson Chapel Cemetery.
