TAYLOR, MRS. LAVERNE H. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 7:25 p.m. after a long illness. She is preceded in death by son, Billy D. Taylor, twin brother, Vernon Haire, mother in law, Flossie Taylor, father in law, Lonas Taylor, brothers in law, Paul Taylor, Bill Taylor and Ray Taylor, sister in law Lucille Pittman. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Richard G. Taylor; daughter, Belinda Sturdivant; sons, Rick Taylor, Mike Taylor and Jim Taylor; daughter in law Angela Keck Taylor; grandchildren, Brian Taylor and fiancée McCall Wade, Laura Taylor and fiancé Brian Goins, Michelle Scharff and husband Eddie Scharff, Heather Taylor, Brandon Taylor, Traci Macklin and fiancé Mike Precord, Dustin Taylor, Brianna Taylor, Daniel Sturdivant and Stefanie Leverstein-Taylor; great grandchildren, Austin Rudd, Krista Rudd, Kelsey Scharff, Kayla Scharff, Drew Scharff, Nicholas Scharff, Christopher Scharff, Nate Scharff, Abagail Scharff, Tomi Taylor, Kailee Taylor, Connor Goins, Dylan Goins, mother, Mildred Helms; sister Phyllis Long; brother, Bill Haire of Texas; brother and sister in law, Roy and Irene Taylor; sisters in law Elsie Taylor and Pauline Taylor. Special thanks to Hillcrest North Nursing home for providing exceptional care for the past 7 years and to Caris Hospice Care for making her comfortable in her final days. Family and friends will meet, 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City and proceed to Lynnhurst Cemetery for graveside service at 3:00 p.m., Brother Dean Braden officiating. Pallbearers: Brian Taylor, Brian Goins, Mike Precord, Eddie Scharff, Brandon Taylor and Dustin Taylor.
