He was a member of Stokely’s Chapel Baptist Church, Newport. He was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Jay Chapman; mother, Martha Dawson; and sister, Penny Faye McCracken. He is survived by his wife, Diana (Tina) Chapman of Sevierville; son and daughter-in-law, Donald Lynn Chapman Jr. and Crystal Chapman of Sevierville; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Nick Williams; grandchildren, Noah Preston Chapman, Abigayle Chapman, Sarah Chapman, Victoria Chapman, Makenzie Chapman and Ashland Williams; parents Hubert and Dean Chapman of Newport; brother, Johnny Chapman of South Carolina; half brother, Hubert Chapman, Jr. of Newport; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Shorty Naillon of Newport, special friends, Howard Brown and Brian Lang of Sevierville; along with several other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Stokely’s Chapel Baptist Church, with Rev. Wayne Wyatt and Rev. Ed Parton officiating. Burial will follow in Stokely’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday, August 6, 2012 at Manes Funeral Home.
