Iona Sue (Shorty) Naillon age 73, of Newport, passed away, Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Physicians Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Orene and Arvel Patrick, brother; J.R. Patrick, sister; Dot Hurst, grandson; Nicholas Chapman, sons-in-law; Wesley Wheatley, Donald Chapman Sr., great granddaughter; Ashland Lowe.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years; Fred Naillon of Newport, sons; Eric (Ginger) Naillon of Newport, Billy (Mary) Naillon of Newport, Freddy (Rhonda) Naillon of Newport, Robbie (Tami) Naillon of Newport, Todd (Jennifer) Naillon of Sevierville, daughters; Sheron (Ben) Redding of Gatlinburg, Tina Chapman of Sevierville, Joyce Wheatley of Sevierville, Pam and Rev. Mark Renner of Knoxville, Susie (Donnie) Napier of Sevierville, brother; Arvel (Imogene) Patrick, of Knoxville; sisters, Juanita Allen of Sevierville, Ramona (Lloyd) Harris of Alabama, Millie Mohon, Sonnie (Steve) Lawhern, Janie (Howard) Bennett, and Diane Loveday all of Knoxville; twenty-seven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of other special family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, October 5, 2012 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ben Watts and Rev. Junior Loveday officiating. Burial will be held in the Shady Grove Cemetery following the funeral service. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 Thursday October 4, 2012 at the funeral home.
