REDMON, RUTH EDDS - age 90, of Powell, TN passed away at home surrounded by her family. She belonged to the First Baptist Church, of Jacksboro, Tennessee. She attended Maryville College and East Tennessee State. She was a retired School Teacher, having taught in Claiborne and Campbell Counties. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Redmon, of 68 years; parents, Henry and Lennie Edds. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara and Susan both, of Powell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Tommy Edds, of Tazewell, TN, John Edds, of Powell, TN; sister, Wanda Perry, of New Tazewell, TN; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. At her request only a graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Tazewell on Wednesday May 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Lewis officiating. Coffey Funeral Home in charge.
