U.S. Veteran Lester V. (Les) Russell, age 76 of Maryville went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 22, 2010. He was preceded in death by parents, Clifford and Iva (Law) Russell; brother, Newman Russell, stepson, Gary Bowman. He is survived by his wife Grace Russell; daughters, Rebecca, Leslee, Rhonda, and Jennifer; step daughters, Debbie and Pamela; grandchildren, Felicia, Jessica, Aaron, Mallory, Lindsay, Chelsea, Jeremy, and Whitney; step grandsons, Jason and Jon; great grandchildren, Jonathan, Cody, Madison, Daisy, and Hunner; beloved sister, Sandra McLemore; brothers, Marvin and Gerald Russell; one aunt, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Les was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the U.S. Navy and Air Force. He loved Country music and playing his guitar. The family would like to thank Blount Memorial and E.R. Dr. Jon Davis and Charge nurse Misti for their compassionate care. Also thanks to special friend Charlie Vaden. Funeral service will be held 8:00 PM Friday June 25, 2010 at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. Clifton Herron officiating. Interment service will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
