Born February 19, 1909 in Middlesboro, Ky. Retired with 33 years of service from the city of Knoxville Traffic Engineering Dept. He was founder, deacon, & head trustee of the West Anderson Ave. Church of God with 55 years of pure love, and dedication to God & church. Preceded in death by parents, John & Martha Gibbs Jones. Several brothers & sisters. Survived by loving wife of 69 1/2 wonderful years, Zanie Conard Jones of Knoxville; sons & daughters in law, Charles M. Jr. and Bobbye Jones, John H. "Buddy" and Donna Jones of Knoxville; daughter and special son in law, Margaret A. and Ronnie Roach, Sr. of Knoxville; brother, Scott Jones of Knoxville; sisters, Maude Keck of Cinn., Ohio; Pauline Conard of Knoxville; several nieces & nephews; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father & grandfather & will be very deeply missed. Funeral service 8 p.m. Thursday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel Rev. James Dunn Rev. Tony Chapman officiating. Family & friends will meet at Edgewood Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Friday for an 11 a.m. graveside & interment. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
