William Castor Ottinger, age 79, of Parrottsville, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2005, at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County.
He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church where he was sexton for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Dean Ottinger; brother, James Ottinger; infant sister; sisters-in-law, Ethylene Ottinger and Patsy Blazer.
He is survived by his wife, Nedra Blazer Ottinger, of Parrottsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Wally Coggins, of Parrottsville, and Janet and Dale Ball, of Parrottsville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Braudus and Helen Blazer, of Newport; Jerry and Brenda Ellis, of Newport; Harold and Peggy Blazer, of Cosby; L.B. and Mable Blazer, of Parrottsville; Ray and Margaret Blazer, of Parrottsville; Ronnie and Linda Blazer, of Parrottsville; Randy and Diane Blazer, of Parrottsville; brother-in-law, Norman Blazer, of Parrottsville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Reba Dean and Herb Rhodes, of Burlington, N.C.; grandchildren, Jerod Ottinger, Brittany Coggins, and Christopher Ball, all of Parrottsville; nephew, Doug Ottinger, of Parrottsville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2005, at Salem Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Kathleen Yates officiating.
Burial will follow in Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2005, at Manes Funeral Home.
