Harrison, Sr., David W., age 49 of West Knoxville, passed away June 7, 2010, due to injuries from a fall he suffered while cutting a tree. He was born July 9, 1960 in Knoxville, TN. Preceded in death by his precious daughter, Jan; his father, Jack; grandparents, Hobart and Mattie Fryar and Violet Hurst and father-in-law, Bill Blevins. David was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors: wife, Carol; son, Wayne and (Erica); mother, Neva Harrison; brother, Jackie Harrison; granddaughters, Ivy and LeeLee; mother-in-law, Linda Blevins; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews. David worked in the roofing business for 25 years with his Uncle Rick and cousins, Ricky, Michael and Eric Fryar. The family would like to thank Bro. Charlie Reynolds for all he's done and thanks to all the people and their churches that prayed for David-the prayers didn't go unheard!! David is walking the streets of gold with his little girl, Jan, and the One who made it possible. Also, a special thanks to the staff at UT Hospital's Critical Care Unit and to all who spoke a kind word or a pat on the back or a hug. Thank you. (David has just gone fishing with Jesus.) The family will receive friends on Friday, June 11, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 8:00 PM, with Bro. Charlie Reynolds officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:15 PM Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Berry Funeral Home for a 2:00 PM graveside service at Clark's Grove Cemetery.
